April 9th 2021, Taylor Swift begins the rerecording project aiming to reclaim the masters to her "stolen" six albums that were sold without her consent. The new version of her second album, Fearless titled as Taylor's Version makes a bold statement in the music industry for artists' rights and marks the start of a new era. In the following years she put out her rerecorded versions of Red, Speak Now and 1989, each being met with more success and helping in the battle for her music rights. Last year she was able to get full ownership of all music she's ever made and thus closing this bittersweet era of her career whose undeniable long-lasting impact in the industry continues to encourage new artists to stand up for their rights.
