MBA (Data Science & Finance) in India: Should I work now and get an online MSc to go global?

Hey everyone, I’m currently pursuing an MBA in Data Science and Finance in India. My long-term goal is to transition into a global career (Europe, US, or Singapore).I’m at a crossroads and would love some perspective from those who have successfully moved abroad or work in these fields internationally. Should I focus on gaining work experience in India first, or would adding a technical online MSc in Data Science right away give me a better edge?I've put together a poll to see which path you think is most effective for someone in my position.Poll Question: What is the best next step for a global career in FinTech/Data Science?A) Get 2-3 years of experience at an MNC in India, then transfer or apply abroad.B) Start an online MSc in Data Science while working to boost technical credibility.C) Finish the MBA and immediately apply for a specialized Master’s abroad (STEM).D) Focus on high-level certifications (CFA, FRM, or Cloud certs) instead of more degrees.

I’m aiming for Quant Finance roles in major hubs (London, NYC, Singapore, HK). My current profile is a dual MBA in Data Science and Finance in India, but my undergraduate degree is in Arts.I am comfortable with Python and basic financial modeling, but I know Quant roles are usually reserved for PhDs or Masters in Math/Physics.Given my MBA, would passing CFA Level 1 or a Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF) be enough to get a foot in the door? Are there 'Quant-lite' roles (like Risk Management or Model Validation) that are more accessible for someone with my background? How much weight do global firms actually give to an MBA compared to an MFE (Masters in Financial Engineering) for Quant positions? Should I pursue online MSC in Data science and finance in india or?

MBA in Finance/DS with an Arts Undergrad—what are my realistic career options?

I’m currently pursuing an MBA in Data Science and Finance. My undergraduate degree is in Arts. I’m looking to work internationally and want to know:What career paths actually use both Finance and DS (besides basic analyst roles)? Is an online MS in Computer Science or in MSc in Data science and Ai or CFA worth it to supplement the MBA?Has anyone else made a jump from Liberal Arts to FinTech/Data Science? How did you sell your "soft skills"?

Arts Undergrad → MBA in Finance & Data Science. How do I bridge the gap for a global career?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some "bridge" advice. I have a non-traditional background—my undergrad was in Arts, but I’m currently finishing an MBA with a dual specialization in Finance and Data Science.

I want to build a global career at the intersection of these two fields (FinTech, Quant Research, or Risk Modeling). Given my Arts background, I’m worried about my technical "street cred."

Are there specific online degrees or certifications (CFA, MS in Quant Finance, etc.) that would make me more competitive globally?

What specific roles value this "Artistic perspective + MBA + Data Science" combo?

Should I focus on building a portfolio or getting another credential?
