As a pedestrian just trying to get around in this town, everyday I see bikers on the sidewalks, blowing through cross walks on reds, going the wrong way on a one way..the list goes on. I can count on one hand the number of close calls I've had with a car in nyc, but everyday I almost get nailed by a bike. The community is a menace to the pedestrians of this town tbh
I'm sure you're "one of the good ones" but it makes no difference, cyclists in this are out of control. So if you're reading this, DO NOT: bike on the sidewalks, cross pedestrain crossings when they have the signal, or go the wrong way on one way streets. And always remember, in ALL CASES you have an affirmative duty to avoid pedestrians, no matter how much "in the right" you think you are.
