Cabinet frames, hardware, and inserts are IKEA SEKTION and fronts/panels are custom from Scherr’s (they will pre-drill custom products to IKEA’s specifications to install in place of IKEA fronts/panels).

The entire project cost $74k in labor and materials plus $12k in appliances in a HCOL area.

IKEA products cost about $4k and fronts/panels cost $6800 including shipping from North Dakota to the northeast, not including painting, which was done onsite. So maybe $15k for the cabinets including painting.

Was estimated 6-8 weeks but took 8 months (although much of that was waiting around for people). My boyfriend and I lived in the apartment through the remodel with a microwave, a toaster oven, paper plates, and a small bathroom sink. Don’t discount the emotional and financial costs of frozen meals for dinner every single night.

- Floor is new maple with gel stain

- Zellige bejmat tile from Zia Tile

- Cabinet hardware and lighting from Rejuvenation

- Countertop is Negresco leathered granite from a family friend’s shop

- Sink from Kraus

- Faucet from Kohler

- Range hood from Hoodsly with Vent-A-Hood hood insert

- Induction range from Fisher & Paykel

- Dishwasher from Bosch

- Fridge from Frigidaire

- Washer/dryer from Miele (ventless dryer exceeded my expectations!)

edit: Oops, sink photo in comments
