Hello! I’m an incoming medical student to an unranked school. Thinking abt residency, I want to set myself up to match competitively even if I don’t end up wanting to pursue a competitive specialty just in case if that makes sense. I’m also a type B typa person, so I know once I enroll I may not be proactive abt this 😭

How should I plan my next four years to do that? I plan on engaging in research, but is there anything else I should be thinking about? I’d appreciate any and all advice!!
