A personal loan was taken on my mother’s name in 2020. At that time due to financial problems, EMIs were mostly paid in cash even though the EMI was linked to bank account. Sometimes we missed/delayed some EMIs but all payments were eventually completed.
In 2024 my father went to the branch and asked for loan closure. Branch staff said loan will be closed and NOC will come on email. But we never got any NOC or closure mail. Later we came to know that email was not updated properly in their system. We also don’t have complete proofs for old cash payments as they were done over many years.
For many months loan was still showing active even after closure request. We had to do multiple customer care complaints and repeated follow ups. Finally last month loan got closed properly and now CIBIL is also updated as “Closed”.
So I wanted to ask has anyone faced similar issue from bajaj finance and Shall i file the complain in RBI Ombudsmen for Compensation
