Help. Please. So for backstory, my baby has been sick on and off for a month. She is still currently pretty congested. She’s never been a good sleeper but I do think that the sickness and and congestion is making it worse. We tried cosleeping for almost 2 months and it didn’t help her at all. She still woke up 4-6 times. We’ve been trying a floor bed for maybe 2 weeks now and it’s still not any better. Last night was probably the worst though. She woke up at 40 minutes, 50 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, and I finally gave in and she slept on me for 6 1/2 hours straight. She was sleeping upright so I am convinced that it’s the congestion causing problems and being upright helped her sleep better. My husband thinks that I keep making too many excuses for why her sleep is so bad. I’m just trying to meet her where she is. I’m not against trying things to help her sleep better like pick up put down and chair method but I don’t feel like it’s fair to her if her sleep struggles are from getting over an ear infection and congested still. But to his point her sleep has been terrible since she turned 5 months old. I think her sleep is just more sensitive and so small things affect her sleep. Maybe her sleep pressure is off too? I want to experiment with locking in on more of a schedule and see if that helps. We’ve been pretty loose with any type of schedule since she’s been here. We have started to get on a schedule with the morning nap though. I go to the gym at the same time every day and she always takes a nap on the way home. It’s the second nap of the day that can be really different and it causes bedtime to be different. I’m open to any advice or apps you used to help with sleep pressure timing!
