Gunsmith by trade . I’ve only ever hot blued or rust blued guns. this weekend I decided to sit down and see what I could do following Birchwood Casey’s perma blue process start to finish. I’ve never giving it much a chance or credit before more just as a cheap fix for small scuffs , Well I owe perma blue an apology, for $19.99 I think the results are awesome.
It is a a bit of a process this took 12 full applications before sealing with oil but for the price and a weekends worth of tinkering between other things I couldn’t be happier . So if you got a old worn gun 20 bucks and a little bit of time I’d say it’s worth and it was fun go for it
