I've been seeing this a lot lately around UTC and Sorrento area. It feels like companies are terrified of making a bad hire right now. They aren't looking for the "visionary" anymore. They're looking for the person who has already done the job twice and won't mess up the 2026 budget. If you're pitching yourself as a growth person, good luck
