I got an emergency cerclage around 20 weeks. I’m 26 weeks now. I’ve been having bleeding that’s been increasing. I wear a pad. It’s as if I’m on an endless light period. I’m low on iron now so I’ve been supplementing. I see the specialist weekly to check the fluids around babies, and a vaginal ultrasound to view the cerclage. I was just there yesterday, and they said it’s irritation and tension n the cerclage wrapped around my cervix causing the bleeding. I also some times have in the toilet what looks like chunks of flesh. It’s as if my poor cervix is shedding. I put myself on a bed rest and just been laying around. The cerclage looks tight still. Before I left the hospital when I got it the nurse made a comment that she’d probably see me back at 29 weeks to do bed rest at the hospital I guess. I’m starting to think she might be right the way this is looking. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, I have twin Di/Di boys. Baby A is currently 1 pound, 15 ounces, and Baby B is 2 pounds, 3 ounces. I’m also on 100 mg of a vaginal suppository of progesterone. Any advice?
