I know there are a lot of big thoughts and emotions right now regarding the sudden departure of Knowledge Fight. One of the things that I looked forward to almost every week were new episodes of this podcast. I have started listening in 2020 and along with the podcast, my life has evolved and changed. Throughout all that change, it felt like this podcast was always right there with me, bringing me laughs along with serious analysis on the state of not just Infowars and Alex Jones, but also right-wing media as a whole. I'm not usually big into parasocial relationships but Knowledge Fight wormed it's way into my heart as an exception with the usual banter of Jordan and Dan on a weekly basis.
As finished listening to the episode they released tonight on my drive home from work, it sunk in that it's truly over and that it was also a foregone conclusion. The writing has been on the wall for a while and I just chose to not look at it. I think the infamous video from last week accelerated it but I realized it was gonna happen anyway sooner or later and this was as good a jumping off point as any, especially with Infowars shutting down and the increasing acknowledgement from Rex.
Just remember that although this news was tragic, the reason it is tragic because Knowledge Fight meant so much to us. Along with being sad, we should also be happy that we get to be a listening audience to something joyful and fun. I hope the boys will do great in their future endeavors and I'm so grateful for their work into this podcast. My final words for them are this: Thank You.
