Diode on Darker Skin for Laser
I’m a dark skinned woman, Fitzgerald skin type V/VI who has recently started her laser hair removal journey. I have 4 sessions on my underarms, tummy line and legs with a Diode laser that has 1064nm settings for darker skin and have had great results so far. From session 1 I had major shedding and the hair hardly came back in. At the moment my hair is coming in extremely fine and sparse and I’m wondering if the laser will still be able to pick it up or will it just be a waste of sessions because there’s not enough contrast.
I also recently discovered a salon that may have the legit ND:yag laser a bit of a drive away.
I’m wondering if I should switch to that for my remaining sessions or just not mess with a good thing. Any advice would be appreciated!
