Please help me find book from my moms childhood
The book would’ve come out in the 80s or 90s it was paperback found in a Walden’s bookstore on the cover was a princess and a red robe incaseed in a glass box/coffin in the book. It’s mostly about this boy going on adventures to break the curse on this princess.

One of the boys companions was Multiple. People can find a one body cursed by a wizard as teen (for possibly breaking into wizards house) and wizard curse them to one body but only on could exist at one time and their voice and appearance would change, depending who was existing at that time one of the souls in the body was very old because he was the one in existence most of the time, but another person in that body still had their child like appearance because he didn’t get to come forward most of the time
At one point in his travels, he ends up in this village and is forced to compete in this contest and somehow wins After winning, he faints from exhaustion, and when he wakes up the next morning, the village has tattooed. Something around his eyes because he was the victor.
