Hey, I want a watch I can only find in Japan. 2-4 thousand dollars. Before current cluster f, I had issues with international buying, so I’m afraid to try now.
Has anybody tried lately? How was the experience? And what were the specifics as far as how the tariffs were physically paid?
In like 2017? I bought an omega from Japan, I got a phone call from the shipping company, asking to pay the tariff, and the guy said “Oh, I’m glad I called, I almost didn’t bother calling.” That just left an uncertain taste in my mouth lol. I also had a package mixup from a watch being delivered from Colombia. That eventually got sorted out, but for a while I was pretty sure I was not gonna get the watch. I did get a Rolex from Japan again, 2017 Ish, and that did go pretty smoothly to be fair.
But, I have not tried anything since this recent craziness, so please, any advice or stories would be much appreciated
