[Big Box Theme]3000+ animated views later… here’s a small look at Nostalgic Bedroom.

10 minutes of Nostalgic Bedroom, a frontend experience I’ve been building for several years.

The idea is simple: not just launching games, but creating a place where you can collect, organize, contemplate and play.

And please, don’t bring out the holy water and crucifixes just yet: I’m simply here to share a passion project. I feel like we don’t show our systems, interfaces and atmospheres enough. There are a lot of very creative people in this community, but we rarely get to see complete setups in motion actually, it’s very rare. And that’s a shame, because this is exactly where a frontend truly comes to life.

The project includes animated views, custom icons, console-inspired interfaces, collections, movie and manga sections, VR rooms, magazines, and a lot of cinematic work created over the years.

This video only shows a small part of the project in motion.

I’d really love to see more people share their own interfaces and systems. It’s always inspiring to see how everyone organizes their own gaming memories.A light version is planned for the forum soon, just to show how it works. :)

Continuing with the idea of pushing the collectable aspect even further, I completely redesigned my Castlevania wheels.

They're no longer really wheels in the classic sense. I designed them more like emblems, almost like medallions.

The goal was to create a true collectible iconography for the Castlevania universe in an interactive format.I was determined to preserve as much of the original artwork as possible, as I'm very attached to it. The idea wasn't to transform it, but to enhance it within a gothic setting consistent with the series' universe.

Of course, the interface will still offer a choice between the classic icons and this new version.I spent a great deal of time on these medallions.

The details are intentionally very detailed: you can zoom in on the fabric textures, the lighting effects, the frame's reliefs… everything has been crafted to give the impression of a true digital collector's item.

No AI here: I wanted to avoid any distortion of the characters' faces or expressions.Everything was created using compositing and digital painting in Photoshop, with frames reworked to achieve this gothic medallion effect.

The style is distinctive, but it remains perfectly consistent with the overall interface… and on the front end, the rendering is frankly very badass.
