Is this water damage?
I had a very salesy roofer come out today and he checked in the attic. He said this strip of darker wood was water starting to come through the roof. It is like this on multiple boards, but not on the other side of the board...Plus the uniformity feels off to me.
I want to make sure before feeling stressed into looking for a new roof immediately. The roof is about 15 years old now so I know it's getting there. It doesn't feel wet to the touch but hard to tell with it being wood. We did have a hard rain last night.
New & young homeowner so I appreciate any insight
