Photos in chronological order..I noticed this on my dogs hind paw about a month ago because she was licking it and it was a little irritated. Went to the vet, got antibiotics and used animax ointment but it hadn’t gotten any better. Went back to the vet and had x-rays done and it was normal but the toe isn’t getting any better and it seems to be causing more pain at the site and up the toe, she’s on carprofen and gabapentin and just finishing up another round of antibiotics. I’ve started doing chlorhexadine baths on her foot and using douxo mousse which seems to help smooth the area but not for long. I will be calling the vet for a biopsy/cytology in the morning but wanting to get opinions.
