SDE, 2 YOE, Masters Graduate. Looking for career switch : MBA or Tech Sales in Ireland.

Just about me: Had a rough childhood, survived some tough medical conditions, lucky to be alive. I am looking for a stable career option. I do not aim to chase money, but a simple & healthy life. I was always close to animals while growing up and aim to have my own farm and stay close around nature. I love baking and want to open a bakery/cafe some day.

TBH staying in the s/w development side feels really pressurizing. With recent AI advancements, the opportunities are quite limited and there is a pressure for upskilling and performing. Interviews are getting tougher, technologies are transitioning and there is a lot of insecurity and unpredictability around the job market. I like business facing roles, I'm great at communication and talks so looking for a transition. I want to work in the industry for a couple of years until I get some X amount saved up for myself.

Would be open to your suggestions:

  • If I aim to switch with 2 YOE, what roles should I target, what companies have such openings in Ireland. Any professional certifications that can help?
  • Is a part-time MBA a good option, generally they are 2 year programs, so can I take it up provided when I complete I have 4 YOE (S/w Development) it may open roles for business facing jobs. Any suggestions if this is a good idea?
  • Any recommendations about tech-sales roles, current market for beginners.

Any recommendations for good career coach or mentor is also welcomed!

Would really appreciate insights from anyone who has made a similar move or is working in these roles.
