The past 2 months me and my roommate fostered a momma cat who then gave birth to 6 kittens. We lost one right in the beginning to fading kitten syndrome. It was sad but we did what we could do for it. We still had 5 and we kept them in the bathroom(rest of house is carpet) we had no issues after that they were growing eating and getting bigger. It was an amazing experience watching these babies grow. On Monday I worked 130-9 I had seen all the babies befor I left but at about 7 I got a call from my roommate that one had drowned in the toilet. I ran home and we buried her that night. Holding her cold little stiff body was heartbreaking. I still can’t believe this happened we were so careful about the toilet and closing the lid because god forbid. But one accident, one time leaving it open, and it took our sweet baby’s life who we literally watched come into this world. And of course just to add on top it was the one I had truly bonded with. The one who crawled to me before she even opened her eyes. I cannot believe this happened I just can’t understand why.
