What medication do you take to help your sleep?

Hi,
Do you take any medication to improve sleep whilst on Vyvanse?

I noticed that Vyvanse was becoming less effective with each passing day; later, I realised that my sleep was getting worse and worse, and my HRV was in a poor state.

After taking a break and starting the medication again, the situation started all over.
My body isn’t able to recover sufficiently.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

Hi,

A while ago, I started hearing a rattling noise under the bonnet (a bit of a metallic sound) and I thought maybe the V-belt tensioner had broken, or perhaps the timing chain (1.8T AVJ A4 B6), so I took it to a mechanic for a diagnosis.

It turned out that it was the water pump making the noise.

I replaced it over a year ago, but it had some sort of fault and started leaking after a while; however, I ignored the problem and just topped up the coolant, as I thought that would be enough (I’m not mechanically minded and didn’t want to take it back to the mechanic again because I didn’t have time to be without the car for a while – I needed it every day).

Now, after replacing the multi-ribbed belt tensioner, the mechanic also removed the engine cover (or the valve cover – I mean the part where you can see the camshafts) and had a look inside, but it turned out the water pump was the culprit, so now I have to wait for an appointment to get it repaired.

At first, the rattling was audible, but more irritating than worrying; however, last weekend I drove about 30 km and the sound was already quite loud. Later it quietened down a bit and now the volume is back to what it was at the start.

My question to you is: can I drive with this fault for the next two weeks? Is it very dangerous for the car? My repair appointment isn’t for another two weeks, and I’m wondering whether I can drive a bit further for the weekend (200 km), stick to commuting to work and shopping at the weekend (25 km a week), or whether I absolutely must take it easy and start doing everything on foot for the next two weeks?

I hope I’ve described the parts and the problem correctly. I’ve used a translator specifically to make it easier for you to read.

Thanks in advance for your reply

@@A minor point, but it would be great if anyone knows about this

Has anyone come across this and knows how to open the right front passenger door which has jammed and the central locking isn’t working?

The electric window in that door works when you press the button (definitely the driver’s button, as I don’t recall it working from the passenger’s button). A while ago, I removed the right-hand wheel and, whilst working through the wheel arch, I tore the sheathing on the wiring harness; the harness itself looked intact, so I don’t think that’s the issue.

I’ve heard people say it might be the lock (it’s a double-locking type) and that you have to destroy it (I think by breaking it or drilling it out?) and replace it with a new one. I’ve heard from two people that you can pry up the door trim and then break it, but actually, when I had a look, it seems quite difficult, given that there are screws underneath the trim, for a start. If anyone here has any suggestions, I’d be extremely grateful.
