Zhang bin bin and Li qin , a curious case ?

These two are some of my fav actors . Not just visuals but they are very very strong actors especially zhang bin bin. ( He is one of the best in acting among his peers ).

They have been acting for a long time .So iam just baffled that iam not seeing them doing back to back good projects as lead . Zhang bin bins face is also made for modern romance , so why is he not doing such roles ? Its not like he is not visible , hes been part of many successful dramas ( from supporting to lead ) . He's acting as a controlled ruthless king in the kings woman was so strong .

Li qin . He last drama I saw was fated hearts( practically for me her acting carried the drama ) . Also loved her in the song of glory . I find her acting so natural and her martial arts movements are so convincing . She is undoubtedly one of the strong actors .Her supporting roles in dramas were also very successful.

So iam just sad and sometime think it's not fair . That they are not getting good projects as leads when I see every new XYZ actor with zero acting talent starring in almost every project , the same new faces always announced in permutations combinations every second drama .

So do they not have capital backing or agency backing ? Let's say producers only prioritise visuals ( as seen in many upcoming newer actors ) but they are also not lacking in that area , and they all bring acting talent . Last I checked li qin is operating solo without any agency .

What do you guys think the main problem is ? Are good actors even with good visuals , if they do not have enough backing will run out of options ?? That's very sad situation for chinese dramas in future , when everything is turned into visuals only .

These are my picks

  1. Yang yang - well no debate there ,this guy is mentally and physically build for such roles giving his dance background . His movement are so fluid

  2. Wulei - He has both the physique and acting chops to ace in in a pure Wuxia .

  3. Gongjun - my new fav in wuxia roles . Lately he's been killing it with such scripts such as in blood river.

  4. Song weilong - have never seen him in pure Wuxia but I think he has it in him to ace such roles . He even has martial arts background if iam not wrong

  5. Zhang ryuyun .

  6. Xiao zhan - if he takes more physical training he might pull off some of those wuxia stunts.

Drop your names who you think will hit it out the park in wuxia genre

Above are some of the bts pics with the cast and the crew .

In her interview Talking about how Director Yan qingxiu met our precious Dilraba who was 17 or 18 yrs old .

The tv series anarhan is about to start filming and the female lead role is searched all over Xinjiang but there is still no satisfactory result . Previously the candidates recommended by leaders and the industry insiders also fell through for various reasons . By chance a bright and lovely smiling face on a mobile phone caught my eye ,but the picture was blurry and out of focus , i couldn't see it clearly , i immediately assign director kurbanjan to find this girl and bring her to me.

Soon , a slender , frail girl appeared before my eyes , perhaps due to the long journey, her face was haggered , and her eyes , which could speak was pure as water , reserved and sad . She sat opp me full of timidity . In an instant my heart tightened and a feeling of pity and love gree from the bottom of my heart . The audition began . Her voice was sweet and soft ,her emotions pure and genuine , her figure graceful and moving , like a flower bud to bloom... The image of Anarhan in my mind became clearer and more vivid . " It's Her " i cried from the bottom of my heart . But for such an impt role choosing her right or wrong will determine the success or failure of the drama . My rational mind is reminding me that I must be even more cautious nd comprehensively evaluate her fundamental abilities . She finished performing a very explosive sketch , and I breath a sigh of relief . Although all her efforts cannot be called skillfull, I can clearly feel that she has a kind of energy in her bones , and this energy is exactly what Anarhan must have . Her outward qualities and inner strength gave me confidence in letting her play Anarhan.

These are some of the names I would say mostly recognized by the industry for a long time . Some has traffic some don't but some are definitely household names .

  1. Xiao zhan - I think i have seen majority of his works to rate him from my point of view . He's a good actor i think to an extend . The most I liked him is the untamed and recently legend of zhanghai . But I think his weakest is romance roles or buliding chemistry with an actress ( although He does have a huge cp fan with Dilraba , but I don't see them clicking ) Maybe its me or maybe he isn't paired well with an actress who he has chemistry with yet . But I like him most in male centric dramas . And he will do really well in wuxia genres as well .

  2. Yang yang - I think he alredy gets enough criticism for his acting ( the most i would say from any A lister actor ) . But I think his strong points as an actor is his physicality and his fluid movement during his fight scenes . He is the top go to actor i think for wuxia roles loaded with heavy martial arts and sword movement . Also he does preety well in romance roles upto an extend .

  3. Gong jun - He's weakest point is also him not having any chemistry with his female leads. He should stick to make centric dramas i think and he is clearly doing that . Really loved him in his previous wuxia drama and looking forward for his upcoming wuxia drama as well.

  4. Wang yibo - very great in a serious roles and stoic acting . He has the natural coldness required for such roles. Again i haven't seen him much in light hearted romance and comedy so i cant imagine him in those roles .

  5. Cheng yi - i haven't seen him much to rate his acting . Maybe others can point out his strong points and weak points .

  6. Zhang ruoyun - very good in wuxia roles . Others can fill in more about him

  7. Wulei - i can say he is the best actor from his gen . Probably better than some of the actors older than him . I have loved him in the long ballad the most . He has a very commanding presence , depth and aura which most actors lack . He is excellent in wuxia and historic roles. I will be baised with him so I'll leave his weak points as an actor for the others to comment on.

  8. Jing boran - maybe some won't consider him A lister . But I think he has some great works and movies . Hes really good in comedy from what I have seen . And overall he's a very strong actor who can tap into different genres with ease .
