I'm looking for a guitar and a bass want some advice.

My playing style: Pretty straightforward rock power chords. Some lead stuff too, occasional pinch harmonics, bends, hammer-ons, palm muting. Nothing overly technical. I want it to fit with vocals that are more melodic/singy than aggressive, maybe occasional screaming though. Three Days Grace is maybe a good reference point for my sound.

Setup: Recording at home through an interface into amp sims, so I'd like decent pickups. I want something that translates well in a DAW.

I also prefer passive pick ups. Guitar budget: $400-600 Bass budget: $300-400. Let me know. Thanks!
