Saw this breakdown floating around today about the "senior pipeline crisis" and the numbers are honestly terrifying for anyone graduating right now.

It basically argues that companies completely froze entry-level hiring because they think AI makes senior devs do the work of 3 people. But the stats show it's mostly a myth and seniors are just spending 30% of their day fixing hallucinated code instead of mentoring juniors. Which my case and the case of many seniors in my company 😅 hahah.

Is anyone actually seeing companies hire juniors right now outside of Defense and Government? Feels like the traditional SaaS startup route is completely dead. for those who like to read : https://www.salary.run/en/blog/ai-vs-junior-engineers-2026
