I have a 1 year old beagle that we got 2 months ago and he was Perfectly fine with no terrible behavioral problems. A month ago we put him on Simparica Trio bc our vet told us to and the first couple weeks his behavior changed. He became way more bity and mouthy. Now we are on the second dose which was given 6 days ago and he’s insanely aggressive now and can’t settle at all. He isn’t following his normal routine and isn’t sleeping during his normal times. He will latch onto your pants and tear a hole into them, rip up the couch and eat clothes and blinds for no reason. He wasn’t doing this before.
Has anyone else had this reaction with a beagle specifically. We don’t know what to do. All we know is it stop giving him anymore doses, but it’s going to last in his body for a long time. Are there any medications we can give him to atleast calm him down while it works out of his body?
