I have a college professor who's very into a book, so much so that she's had several classes just talking about it and made it part of the course materials (the book is very much unrelated to the course subject). I bought my version secondhand, and when I got it I found it was essentially an ARC (Advanced Reader's Copy). When I told her about it, she was very excited.

It's now the end of the semester, and I wanted to gift my version of the book to her. However, final grades haven't been posted yet, and I've got plans to go home before they are. But at the same time, it's not like it's a super serious class, we essentially self grade ourselves and that sort of thing.

Would it be okay to gift the book to her?
