AD Air Force SkillBridge
I’m currently Active Duty Air Force and I’m looking to get out around the April timeframe and I’ve always wanted to work at LM. I’m a 2W1 (Weapons) guy so I know there’s not a ton of jobs that fit my job description but I’ve always been extremely motivated, have really good work ethic, and have held roles such as WS/QA for the F-35 and was Backshop for the F-16. I’ve been in for 9 years and in the time I’ve completed my AS, AA, and AAS (CCAF) degrees. After the summer I’ll continue working on my Bachelors in aerospace engineering (I might change the type of engineering but it’ll still be some sort of engineering degree). I’m looking to SkillBridge at LM and I know this might sound greedy but I’m looking at jobs $90k+. I’ve looked at open roles but with my lack of a Bachelor’s it’s kind of hard to find an a job that fits my work experience. I know I could adapt to any job/role so I’m really just wondering if anyone has any advice on this matter? Does having a degree truly matter that much or is worth ethic/experience more desired?
