background: we have a shiba that's a few months shy of 6 years old. he is super loving and always tries to kiss people. he isn't aggressive with other dogs (we live in an apartment community that has tons of other dogs), we have an older dog that's 8 and they get along great.

we got a red heeler puppy 2 weeks ago and he is a typical hyper puppy. he tries to play with toys and even our shiba but our shiba (umbra) gets aggressive and snaps at him whenever he walks by. this is new and concerning.

how can I get my Shiba to not be so aggressive with the puppy?
