I have BimmerCode and want to change the default drive mode to Sport, which requires access to BDC module. That module does not show for me when in diagnostic mode and using the BimmerCode app. I was advised by BimmerCode support to disconnect the 12v battery for about 5 minutes to reset the ECU which should allow the BDC to be accessed by BimmerCode so I can have my 2023 x3 xdrive30i start in Sport mode by default.
Has anyone done this successfully? Other suggestions? I am using recommended adapter (vLink Bluetooth) with BimmerCode, and I have made other coding changes successfully. It’s just a bunch of option that were supposed to be available to customize aren’t. IDrive 7software version is from November 2023. BimmerCode said it was only iDrive 8 that was locked down to prevent this type of code change.
