My fiancé and I both have 1 month off after our wedding in late September of this year. We are looking into traveling to both Fiji and New Zealand (from the Western US) and are trying to decide an itinerary. Looks like flying to Fiji first would be cheaper, and then flying to NZ from Fiji. I was thinking of 1 week in Fiji (or do we need more?) and then to NZ. I am hoping to book a Great Walk in NZ for October as well. Any suggestions for locations, timelines, spots to see would be appreciated. We are both active and outdoorsy so want a combination of relaxing (probably mostly for the first part in Fiji) and outdoor activities (hence the idea for doing a trek/great walk). Any tips welcome!!
