So my 2 year old gerbil hasn’t nipped me in a long but will occasionally nip others when they are holding her. Today however my mom had her hand in her tank and she uncharacteristically came up to her calmly and bit her breaking skin and wouldn’t let go. She then calmly walked around her cage and acted completely normal no squeaking or thumping or anything.My mom didn’t make a move to touch her but her hand was above her head. She also recently washed her hand so didn’t have any sort of animal or food smell on her. I was worried she was in pain but didn’t bite me at all and doesn’t show any other signs. It’s this concerning?
