I NEED HELPPPPP 😭

Recently came back after graduating to help with my family business in China. We have our own factory and have been in the mobile accessories industry for around 30 years now, mainly phone batteries, chargers, power stations, power banks, LCDs, cables, etc.

Most of our business has always been traditional wholesale/OEM, but lately I’ve been trying to turn it into an actual brand instead of just being another factory behind the scenes.

Right now I’m researching the Middle East & Africa market since that’s where a lot of our offline customers are from

Wanted to ask people familiar with these markets:

• How do wholesalers/importers there usually find suppliers nowadays?
• Is business mainly through WhatsApp/Facebook/referrals?
• What matters more: price, branding, or stable quality?
• What products are moving the most recently?
• Are distributors open to newer brands if the products are actually reliable?

Would genuinely appreciate any advice or insight from people who know these markets better.
