Yes…..I followed all famous routes: AR’s Udemy course, three months of intense practice, SH scores of 65, 74, 80 and 75, plus one mock test at 75. I also went through all of MR’s videos, the hard 200-question set, and Scott Payne’s podcast, and I still walked into the exam this morning exhausted, only to fail with “need improvements” in all three areas.
For the last three months, I gave it everything I had. I spent about four hours every night after putting the kids to bed, took a week off from work, fixed my time management issues with the questions and managed to answer it within a min, used Microsoft notebook flashcards to understand the concepts, and stuck to the plan I discussed with Gemini. Even then, the exam felt nothing like SH, maybe one question had a resemblance, but that was about it.
I’m not writing this to get sympathy or anything. I’m just venting, because the roadmap looks hard for everyone, and honestly I’m not even sure how much of this is skill and how much is luck.
It was an embarrassing to collect my page when the counter girl looked at my face with an empathy while handing over the paper to me. I didn’t open, I saw the result in her eyes. I’m not sure, if I can put all the same efforts, passion and dedication back to this one certification. World isn’t the same for everyone lol :)
I have seen stories where people took the exams with so many issues and less preparation and still pass it. I have a project management experience in the SaaS industry and worked intensively on Agile from the last three years and here we come. Boom, Need improvement lol
Don’t mean to discourage anyone but to tell that reality is different than just reading the success stories and resemble ourselves to it. So yeah. Maybe it’s not my piece my cake Anymore. Bye for now.
