Update – Saveo got a lot of new features

I have posted here a couple of times before and have gotten an amazing response and tons of feedback to work with. Saveo, a budgeting app built right here in Canada. The first post was our iOS launch. The second was Android dropping plus a bunch of features you asked for. This one's about what's shipped since then.

The AI agent that runs your budget
This is the big one. We built an AI agent that creates your budget from scratch, sets up your categories, and logs transactions. You can literally manage all your budgeting just by interacting with the agent.
Your AI buddy is now on WhatsApp & Telegram
Connect Saveo's AI assistant to WhatsApp or Telegram and manage your money without opening the app. Log a transaction mid-grocery-run, ask where your money went this week, check a category balance, all from a chat message.
Voice chat with your AI buddy
Talk to it. Log expenses out loud, ask for a spending summary, get answers without typing. Useful when you're driving or just don't want to pull out your phone.
Everything we shipped after the Android launch
For those who missed the last post, here's what came before this update:
- Category learning rules -> app learns how you categorize things (works with bank sync)
- Subscription tracking -> auto-detects recurring charges so nothing slips through
- Duplicate transaction detection -> Saveo catches and removes duplicates automatically. A lot of people didn't realize how much this was inflating their numbers until we fixed it. (chequing to savings or credit card transfers, a lot of duplicates.
- Receipt uploads + PDF statement imports -> for people whose banks don't connect cleanly through Plaid or dont wanna connect bank accounts.
- Faster interface -> the janky feeling from early builds is gone
What's still true from day one
We connect securely to your bank through Plaid, same technology major financial institutions use. Your data stays private, not sold. Works with Canadian banks and credit cards. Full dark mode. And if you downloaded Saveo when it was free, you're still grandfathered in, free for life, no changes.
For everyone else, it's $60/year CAD to connect your bank (~$5/month). YNAB charges $120 + /year for less. We also have a lifetime plan, one payment, every future feature included forever.
