I was running most of my games on gf now on steam deck , docked to an lg c9, I felt the latency on 4k 60 so I switched to qhd to have 90~120 frames available since the steam deck dock is not hdmi2.1. But just today I’ve read AMD finally made some Linux drivers to allow 4k 120 fps on Linux . Maybe still without hdr and vrr but the steam machine could be capable of hdmi2.1 features . I know it’s system/ drivers /license things but I just changed to 4 k and still have the 90 fps option. Of course for most demanding triple a games I’ll stick to qhd for the fps boost, and won’t use any frame gen , and you really don’t see much of a difference with the compression, and im sensitive to input lag but yet , I’m very glad how things are going for Linux gaming . Just a fast proof in screens
