Hello all, I've recently began thinking of opening a small, continued education trade school. I am a truck driver by trade and I also teach people how to operate commercial vehicles at a community college. However, dude to poor leadership, I dont feel like we are doing our very best to serve the people of our community and those in surrounding communities, and would like to open my own commercial driving school with a couple of my fellow instructors. We are located in rural NC, about an hour from Charlotte. Im aware that grants exist to help fund small businesses, but I have no experience what so ever, and no knowledge of the process. I am in the beginning stages of this endeavor and this likely won't be possible to do on my own as the initial startup will likely be around 100-150k. Im aware of the idea of a business loan, but my worries reside in turning a profit would be a lengthy process. If anyone could chime in with information, possibly point me in the right direction to help me get started I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you all for your time.
