when will pedos leave me alone?

For context, we have this neighbor na pamilyado na at may dalawang babaeng anak (afaik) and hinayaan ko siya mag-chat kasi we have a printing business, so sa amin siya nagpapa-print. Tapos kagabi, nagulat ako nag-chat siya abt mother’s day at sa gabi pa talaga jusko naman. I found it weird so hindi ko na nireplyan.

GOSH WHEN WILL THEY ROT IN HELL????

Hi, I really need help and honest opinions because we might lose even more money.

Here’s what happened:

My mom got scammed on Facebook marketplace buying crafting tools worth ₱1,000. She paid via BDO transfer to a Maya account. After realizing it was a scam, we contacted Maya support.

They told us the transaction was under “Pay&Go” and that “BTI Payments” would handle the issue. Someone contacted us claiming to be from BTI, and they said we need to top up ₱1,000 to a Maya account so they can process the refund and it will reflect as ₱2,000 (basically babalik yung na-scam + yung tinop-up).

We mentioned that the Maya account is unverified, but they said okay lang and they can still process it.

So we sent the ₱1,000 (last money na namin).

Now, Maya emailed saying we should have cashed in ₱2,000 instead of ₱1,000 because the account is unverified. So now they’re asking for another ₱1,000.

At this point:

₱1,000 – original scam

₱1,000 – sent to “BTI” for refund processing

Now they want another ₱1,000

We also asked a Maya email (seemingly legit) if BTI is real, and they said yes—but this whole “top up to receive refund” sounds really suspicious

.

We tried reporting it to BSP but it needed a reference number from BTI and nothing was given to us.

Questions:

Has anyone experienced “BTI Payments” handling Maya refunds?

Is this legit or a recovery scam?

Should we stop now and accept the loss?

We’re honestly scared this is another scam. Any advice would really help.
