Looking for the best subreddits for new/small YouTube creators (2026)

Hey everyone! I just launched my first YouTube channel and I'm looking for communities on Reddit where new creators hang out.

I'm specifically looking for:

  • Subreddits for learning about the algorithm and growth.
  • Places that offer constructive criticism or feedback on videos.

I already know about r/NewTubers, but are there any other hidden gems or niche ones I should check out? Thanks!

New creator here - how do I find the 'vibe' of a subreddit before posting a video?

Hi everyone! I’m brand new to Reddit and I'm trying to learn the ropes properly.

I’m starting a YouTube channel called 'The Lazy Economist' (focused on 2026 cost-of-living stuff), and I want to eventually share my work here for advice. However, I’ve heard that Reddit is very protective of its communities and hates 'spam.'

My questions for the experts here:

  1. Besides reading the sidebar rules, how do you actually 'read the room' to see if a video would be welcome?
  2. Are there specific 'etiquette' tips for sharing your own content without being annoying?
  3. Is it better to post a link, or just talk about the topic and let people ask for the link?

Thanks in advance for helping a newbie out!
