Throwaway for obvious reasons.
Booked on princess for August in the Mediterranean for the eclipse. Paid accordingly for a balcony room.
In hindsight, I booked it because I thought my husband and I were gonna be able to save our relationship and he loves eclipses.
We are not working out. He cares about nothing. He doesn't want to do anything except couch rot. Yes, he has multiple mental health professionals involved. We have tried literally everything. I don't need relationship advice at this point.
We are 95 days out. I was so hoping we could turn things around. Anyway, that ship has sailed (lol). My options seem as follows:
Go with my spouse who doesn't give a shit. Drag him through all of it. Do all the work and enjoy little of it.
Cancel and get some kind of money back. I know the clock is seriously ticking. I bought insurance through princess, I hear it's pretty shit, also I don't know that "my husband sucks ass and won't get off Instagram" is a real reason to make an insurance claim.
Swap his reservation out for somebody else. My mother is interested. A friend might be interested. Again, I know the clock is ticking.
Go by myself, but pay for two people? That feels wasteful even though intellectually I understand it's the same financial cost either way.
