I’ll be naming my son Jesse & his last name will be Porter. I picked Jesse because I don’t know many Jesses, but the ones I do know are amazing. I also love the idea of calling him “Jess.” Another reason is because I’m a Christian and Jesse means “God exists; God’s gift”.
I want a middle name that flows well and has significant meaning (either Biblical or forest-y), OR works with the first and/or last name to create a new nickname: ex. a middle name that starts with “E” would create the nickname “Jep,” or one that starts with “J” or “T” or “B” or “C” would result in “JJ,” or JT,” or “JB,” or “JC”- you get the point.

Here are the two we’ve liked the most but haven’t completely settled on:
Jesse East Porter (I love the significance of the direction East in the Bible, but the sound of it all runs together awkwardly)
Jesse Tate Porter (We have a dear friend named Tate, but I fear it makes the name sound too country/southern)
