Nerve tingling when doing hamstrings.

So I’ve begun my flexibility and mobility journey. Pretty good so far except one problem. I can’t get my hamstrings activated when I’m stretching because my sciatic nerve gets in the way. When I’m doing for example of fault, I have the right form and everything soft knees microbe all that stuff. A pelvic tilt pushing my butt back like I’m closing the door with my butt. But get down, not even quarter of the way of my actual range and I start getting a zap behind my calves and behind my knee. From my research, I’ve learned that this is the sciatic nerve. And for some reason which is the question I’m asking it’s very sensitive and will not let me do what I want to do. Why is that and how can I overcome that? And have you guys had a similar experience? I’m not asking for medical advice. I’m just asking if anyone has or had the same problem and if they were able to get rid of it and how so. Thanks!

I would like to start off and say this is not persisting pain, and this is not pain not relating to stretching. It only pops up when I do my stretching routine. I’ve recently started my flexibility and mobility journey. I’m doing pretty good. I would say I have the forms down and I haven’t had any pain. It’s coming along, but I am doing this on my own. I’ve become pretty aware of my body, which is also a good thing. But when my right leg is extended in a pancake straddle stretch or a Cossack squat, there’s a pulling sensation in my right knee on the inside of my leg. It’s the spot right in that picture. Not really on the knee but a little below it on the inside of my leg. Anybody able to kind of help me with that point me in the right direction of what that is? Cause it definitely does not feel like a stretch. It feels more like a targeted pulling. Not a nice pulling either. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Just a question. As I’m doing these, I usually do them with like a jacket or something because my shoulders are tightened. Don’t allow me to go all the way around so I need a wide grip. But my right shoulder more so than my left kind of feels like it’s doing a workout. There’s no pain or anything. It just feels like I did a set of lateral raises almost. Not to the point of pure exhaustion. But like I just did all set a lateral raises with a weight that I could handle, but did put some strain. Is this normal?
