I was prescribed the estradiol 0.0375 patch and my gyn said I don't need the progesterone bc I have the Liletta (generic Mirena) IUD. But I've had it for 6 years and it's good for 8. But knowing that the progesterone diminishes over time, I'm concerned that it's not enough to protect me. Anyone encounter this or have any thoughts? I'm 52 and pretty sure that I am in menopause, but it's tricky to know for sure bc of the IUD and no periods.
