I seem to be having issues vacuuming my inground pool. Im unsure why the pump keeps losing prime. And the suction disappears.

I utilize a a vacuum hose that is connected by sections. I thought maybe there was a leak causing air to come into the vaccuming line however I utilized a hose to try and check for leaks and could not find any.

The vaccuming plate and the hose connected to it were completely submerged inside the skimmer.

The suction is strong with just the vaccuming plate on but when I place the vaccuming hose completely filled with water onto the plate the suction begins to disappear. This also causes the jets to stop running.

Is there anything else im missing or can try to fix this issue?
