different card payment for mini bar
this may be quite niche but i’m hoping for some advice. my sister is graduating in a different city so my mum very kindly offered to pay for a nice hotel so we could come visit, stay the night, celebrate, etc. without having to worry about travel. the room and hold charge is on her card.
i went to catch up with some friends in the city we’re in whilst i’m here and i came back extremely drunk, drank some of the hotel mini bar drinks and i was wondering if i would be able to pay for it without her knowing? i think she would be quite angry with me if she found out. whilst she doesn’t mind drinking, she is very afraid of alcoholism/excessive drinking as it runs in our family. it was a mistake on my part and i’m on new medication which makes me a much lighter weight than usual, so i can only drink about 1/3 of the amount i could drink literally a few days ago.
we’re checking out on different days so she won’t be there when i check out of the room. i can cover the cost of the room as well, she just decided to pay so it would be easier on me which is so kind.
i’m not excusing my behaviour, i should’ve known better. my question is if i can pay for the mini bar charge without her knowing?
