My company uses Coherent Spark which turns Excel Raters into API Responses. Our product and actuarial team were told they are given these Excel raters to build and own. Should IT be involved in any of their processes, unless there is a change to the policy admin system? Our product and actuary teams want IT highly involved because they have always had IT involved. They want to continue to have IT involved but the point of Coherent is to take reliance off of IT and have their teams own everything end to end.
Anyone have a similar experience? I am told from Coherent Team that actuaries have always naturally filled the role but my company keeps pushing back.
