I recently tested multiple overclock configurations on my GTX 1070 Ti to find the best balance between performance and stability. I ran several benchmark passes while adjusting core clock, memory clock, voltage, and power limit.
System Specifications
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K @ 4.0 GHz (Stock)
- RAM: Kingstone 16GB DDR3 2000 MHz CL10 OC
- Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H
- Storage: 1TB M.2 SSD
- GPU: Zotac GTX 1070 Ti AMP Extreme (Triple Fan)

Findings
- Stock performance averaged 97.8 FPS and 2465 score.
- Best stable result achieved was 114.1 FPS and 2875 score.
- Performance gain from stock to best OC was approximately 16–17%.
- +200 Core / +400 Memory appears to be the sweet spot for this card.
- Memory overclock above +500 caused instability.
- +220 core crash limit, stuttering is present, not recommended...
Real Gaming Clocks
During actual gameplay, the card typically runs around:
- Core Clock: 2100 MHz
- Memory Clock: 4400 MHz
- Voltage: 1.093V
The Zotac AMP Extreme cooler keeps temperatures manageable, and the card maintains boost clocks consistently during gaming sessions.
Overall, this GTX 1070 Ti seems to have above-average silicon quality for a Pascal card.
