Hey everyone,

As subcontractors, how are you all dealing with specified manufacturers whose quotes are only valid for 30 days? As we all know, the submittal phase typically takes much longer than that, and by the time we're ready to order, the required manufacturers are charging anywhere from 5–25%.

Curious how others are handling this. Are you building escalation clauses into your bids, locking in pricing some other way, or just eating the difference?
