Help me out here with my indecision. I have 5-6 week old pullets arriving tomorrow.
The hatchery told me they are fully feathered and don’t need a heat lamp, but cold and wind are no bueno as they are used to around 70 degrees. I have an outdoor run built with an Omlet Cube inside- I feel like the cube will be warm at night with 4 birds but not sure about daytime.
Attached are pics of the weather for the next two days.
I have a tent that I can put up in the garage with large pine shavings. Should I just keep them in there for a few days and gradually introduce? Or is that over- thinking it? I was saving the tent for any abnormally cold or hot temps the rest of the year.
Thanks!
