My water softener has clogged up and the tank is full of water. I had a plumber out and he told me that this size water softener is too small for my house and I need to invest in a bigger one…well I never heard back and had multiple follows up without getting a quote. He did mention everything was setup properly it just needed to be swapped out…

Is this any easy thing to do? Is this something I can do myself? It seems like most plumbers use specific brands all of which are not available in a Lowe’s…

Trying to decide if I can go to Lowe’s and get a new one or if this is better left to continuing to find a plumper to do the work..
