Victoris unsung practical car
Hello! The last time I posted about my car, there was a backlash from certain salty peeps. I stupidly deleted that post anyways, this is here to stay.
I’m coming from a true Maruti family since the 800, then to celerio, brezza 2022, Victoris 2025. After driving around Brezza MT Zxi+ for years, I’ve seen its lag during acceleration and high speed on highways. With 5 gears, it was tough to push the car past 100 but I understand that’s totally unnecessary in our roads, conditions.
After getting Victoris MT Zxi+ in 2025, it was a breeze in acceleration in city, highways, I think its the tuning and somehow better fuel efficiency on the same spec engine as brezza, can be a better designed engine.
Trust me, I’m someone who tried to convince my parents for an Alcazar or XUV 700, I even took them on test drives as a family. We liked everything but the reliability is a factor and we do need good roadside assistance.
Also, by design Victoris front grill looks almost like a brother to Vw Taigun, especially the new facelift. Got some snarky comments for this observation but that’s okay, it’s part of growing up and letting go.
It’s got great comfort, suspension is on point, white interior for premium feel, low height gives great stability on highways, top notch interiors, ventilated seats are a blessing in hot weather. Infinity music system with Dolby works great with Apple music lossless. I got head turns even from premium vehicle owners, it looks like a budget volvo xc60.
Daily city mileage average is 14 to 15 kmpl even with some last minute rush, 17 to 18 kmpl on highway long distance.
When my family drives, I couldn’t take chances for their safety, when I’m not there. And something like that showed up few months back and the MS road side assistance really helped out, even at 4am I was able to get some help and get a pickup sorted out.
I totally understand the rage about power, design, specs but once reality hits you got to have a better playing odds in the most unexpected moments. I’m not saying MS is the best as they do have electrical challenges sometimes but the instances of a problematic situation is very less compared to the market.
Let’s support each other and drive safe.
Just an appreciation post with some observations.
Good day, fellow motor heads.
