Tulips at Window on Waterfront
From afar the tulips looked promising this morning, but up close many were past-peak, seemed diseased(?), or already stems. Some friends and I were talking and we agreed they’ve never looked this bad before. Not all sections were awful but many were disappointing and some that hadn’t even opened yet with green closed heads had a lot of brown on them and looked “crispy”. Was it the whiplash of weather we had? Disease? Also in one area bulbs poked out of the ground so not planted deep enough. Tulips downtown looked better to us.
Just wanted tourists to know it’s not usually like this.
